Grey blending is like grey camouflage. It's a colour technique that hides the grey by adding in other colours that are similar to your hair's natural shade. This way it appears less grey, silver or white and creates a smoother transition to these lighter shades. The AirTouch highlighting technique is a hair colour method designed to create a seamlessly blended and natural-looking transition from darker roots to lighter ends. Unlike the traditional way of doing balayage or highlighting, which involves backcombing and teasing of the hair that can sometimes lead to breakage from the constant tugging, Airtouch Balayage uses air (hence its name) to create a softer and more seamless blend of colours for a truly natural looking finish. The more traditional methods also required highlights to be weaved into specific sections of hair, whereas AirTouch uses air to create the finish. This not only creates a more seamless look, but it also means only the stronger and thicker hairs are being highlighted, preventing further damage to fragile hair.
